Learning about the recent tragic loss of Mark Lanegan has inspired me to hurry and finish this new website which is nearly done, except for testing all links – desktop and mobile. However, my cut-off with images I was sharing was at 2013, moving forward. 2012 and before is sort of ehhhh and doesn’t really reflect the quality of my work today. On the other hand, I do believe there’s something humbling about showing how one has grown as an artist and decided to share some highlights from 2012 going as far back as I feel like going. Luckily, I’ll only share the “keepers” to keep it simple. I’ve forgotten how many times I’ve shot Eagles of Death Metal. Even Queens of the Stone Age, MUSE, the Hives, etc. I should share that.
Anyway, these photos here are treasured. Not the best quality when the singer performs in the dark. No joke, like the actual dark except for one mood light on him. Back then, there was hardly the camera technology that there is today where these would definitely have come out better. These were taken at 1/30 of a second, with no image stabilization. The ones in focus enough were lucky shots. Thank god he didn’t move around much when he performed. This was his usual stance…
