An evening of feeding and handing out shoes by Vans to the citizens and veterans living on the streets of Los Angeles on Skid Row. While you’re snuggled up in your warm beds at night, most of our veterans who fought for our freedom are literally living in their wheelchairs on the dangerous and rough streets of Skid Row in DTLA. They owe us nothing and we owe them EVERYTHING. I met a 4th generation Skid Row child. Yes, you read that correctly. $60 donations get them a warm meal, a nice pair of shoes, blankets, Volcom jackets, and other essentials.
If you’re reading this now, you have time to give back – to something, anything. Find something you’re passionate about and get involved. You have more than you need. People in our own city, on the streets below multi-million dollar buildings, are wondering where their next meal will come from.
