I got to spend two weeks in Chiang Mai, Thialand and it was a total dream. I spent one of those weeks at The Elephant Nature Park and that experience was just completely surreal. If you’re interested in all things elephants and ethical sanctuaries, I did a write-up on that here .
Below is a collection of my favorite images from the trip. Enjoy!
…yeah, I belong here.
Wat Phra Singh Temple
Night Market in the Old City.
Asian wet markets will always freak me out. Those are live toads. :/
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple
*TIP: Rides back from this area can be tricky. If you take a private car or taxi, have them wait for you or else you’ll have to purchase all the seats on this Rod Daeng so you don’t have to wait a long time for them to leave to go back to the city.
*TIP: Most temples throughout Chiang Mai require covered shoulders/arms and pants. In hot Thailand weather, that’s the last thing we want to wear so I recommend bringing a loose and lacy kimono that you can use as a wrap to enter these temples. The sheer ones are warm weather-friendly and usually make for stylish photos of yourself. 😉

The only good cage is an empty one.
The 7-11 stores in Asia are the best! They seriously have the best trash food. It’s not even really trash at all.
How could I not get an elephant tattoo after that week-long experience? The shop uses vegan ink. The artist had the most delicate little hands. It was probably the least painful tattoo I’ve ever received. I even fell asleep on the table while she did it.
Found the mezcal!
…and the ladyboys!
